Women’s sponsored by She’s Apples/Judy Grosvenor with the winners being skip Heather Richards, Judy Grosvenor, Jan Dowdell and Sharon Perryman defeating skip Jennie Tilley, Carol Schmidt, Roma Henderson and Nell Lucas 11-6.
Sponsored by Herron Todd White/GJ McEachern, the Men’s winners were skip Tim Wrightson, Keith Dowdell, Wayne Dowdell and Des Horrigan who defeated skip Paul Weir, Barrie Schmidt, Michael Glynn and John Naismith 14-9.
Port MacDonnell Blue lost 42 shots and 2 points to Mount Gambier Red 60-6.
Joe Pruis, Chris Negline, Danny Gaut and skip Terry Seiler won 26-23, while Ben Tilley, Bill McGregor, Lance Fisher and skip Jennie Tilley lost 16-37.
Port MacDonnell Red (75-8) defeated Mount Gambier RSL Blue 34-0.
Lorraine Mackereth, Keith Dowdell, Heather Richards and skip Bill Richards won 38-19, while Elaine Pruis, Jan Dowdell, Kevin Henderson and skip Robert Hutchesson won 37-15.
Division 1 Port MacDonnell (42-6) defeated Kingston 41-2.
Elaine Pruis, Jennie Tilley, Carol Schmidt and skip Heather Richards won 26-16, while Lorraine Mackereth, Sharon Perryman, Jan Dowdell and skip Judith Grosvenor lost 16-25.
With the long road trip to Kingston, Port MacDonnell came back with a good win by one shot with Heather Richards winning by enough to cover the other rink.
Division 2 Port MacDonnell (57-6) defeated Millicent (44-2).
Lyn Jones, Jean Fisher, Robin Burley and skip Marilyn Sutton lost 26-32, Lyn Vanderley, Shirley Taylor, Heather Fox and skip Chery Doddridge won 31-12, while Cheryl Doddridge had a good win to cover the loss of Marilyn Sutton.
Division 1 Port MacDonnell (67-4) lost to Mount Gambier RSL Blue 71-8.
Paul Weir, Robert Hutchesson, Wayne Dowdell and skip Tim Wrightson won 24-22, Barrie Schmidt, Keith Dowdell, Heather Richards and skip Bill Richards won 22-20, while Greg Fisher,Judith Grosvenor, Kevin Henderson and skip Chris Richards lost 21-29.
With Bill Richards and Tim Wrightson both winning, it was not enough to cover Chris Richards and the Bay went down by four shots.
Division 3 Port MacDonnell (77-8) defeated Robe 61-4.
Jimmy Williams, Bruce Bain, Donald Forbes and skip Kel Butler won 40-12, Michael Glynn, Victor Perryman, Jennie Tilley and skip Terry Seiler lost 18-22, while John Naismith, Lance Fisher, Kevin Osman and skip Danny Gaut lost 19-27.
A great effort by Kel Butler’s four was enough to get Port MacDonnell the points on the road trip to Robe.
Division 4 Port MacDonnell (64-8) defeated Beachport South 58-4.
Elaine Hutchesson, Terry Stone, Marilyn Sutton and skip Bill McGeregor lost 19-20, Ben Tilley, Chris Negline, Rod Sutton and skip Justin Brown won 26-16, while Graham Hutchesson, Robyn Burley, Kevin Norman and skip Cheryl Doddridge lost 19-22.
A great win by Justin Brown’s four allowed Port MacDonnell to claim the win overall by six shots.
Sunday December 12 Port MacDonnell will hold it’s Christmas Ham, Cake and Pudding Mixed Fours day.
