The Reds played host to the undefeated Naracoorte RSL team and enjoyed playing under the roof to win on both rinks and take the maximum eight points with a 57-37 victory.

The 31-13 win by the rink of Brian Francis, Ray Hutchesson, Daryl Ranenberg and Ian Von Stanke helped send the visitors home with their first loss of the season.

The Blues welcomed the undefeated Port MacDonnell Red team and with good wins on both rinks secured the eight points and continued their good start to the year.

Jeff England and Ron Cox skippered the two rinks to victory as the Blues cemented second spot on the premiership ladder with the 50-40 win.

The narrow 24-27 loss by the rink of Gaylene Leggett, Deanna Farrenfield, Kerry Pedlar and Beryl Versluis in cold and windy conditions was a great effort but they returned home with a 83-33 loss.

The team will have an opportunity to get back on track with the Round 7 visit of Port MacDonnell.

The Reds enjoyed successive games at the Bob Cranwell Centre and played hosts to Mount Gambier RSL Red.

The three rinks were close up to the break with a very good standard of bowls on show.
