THE Mid South Eastern Football League returned this week after two round off due to the recent South Australian coronavirus restrictions.

Kalangadoo 15.10 (100) d Robe 10.6 (66)

Up at Robe the Roosters were no match for Kalangadoo as the Magpies continued their undefeated run.

The top-of-the-table clash promised a close contest, but the Magpies simply stamped their authority on the game from the outset.

A 27-14 first-quarter lead suggested Kalangadoo was on song and it continued in the second term.

The Magpies stretched the lead to 20 points at the long break and methodically added to it from there.

The Roosters trailed by 26 points at the final break and simply could not make inroads into the deficit.

Much of the Magpies’ success came on the back of a six-goal haul from Michael Krieger.

Ben Gregory (3) and Ben Mules (2) also added multiples.

For Robe, Riley Dickinson topped the list with four majors, while Billy Laurie and Jack Sneath added two each.

Glencoe 16.16 (112) d Kongorong 8.3 (51)

Over at Kongorong the home side was not up to the task against the visiting Glencoe, but forced the Murphies to work for their victory.

The first half was relatively tight, with just 18 points separating the two sides at the long break.

However, a big third term from the Murphies blew the game apart, with eight major scores to just two from the Hawks.

The game petered out in the final stanza, with the Murphies comfortable victors.

Despite the big win, there were no big bags of goals for Glencoe, with Michael McRae topping the list with four.

Robbie Smith (3), Dylan Childs (2) and Alex Hentschke (2) also kicked multiples.

For Kongorong, Jack Mullan banged home three goals, while Cameron Smith added two.

Hatherleigh 13.6 (84) d Port MacDonnell 10.9 (69)

In the closest game of the round, fourth-placed Hatherleigh edged closer to third-placed Port MacDonnell after a tough four quarters of football.

The Eagles hosted the Demons and sett eh scene in the opening term with 21-9 quarter.

However, the visitors fought back well in the second term to close to within six points at the long break.

Again the home side broke away in the third quarter to build a handy 16-point advantage, which in the end was enough of a buffer to hold the Demons at bay.

Jack Skeer topped to goal kicking list, with four majors for the victors, while Jake Dowdy and Sam Telfer added two each.

For the Demons, Brandon Newton kicked three and Will MacDonald two.

Mount Burr 22.17 (149) d 5.5 (35)

In the final game the win-less Nangwarry hosted Mount Burr and suffered a big defeat.

The Saints were never in the game, with just one major score up to the long break.

The Mozzies enjoyed plenty of freedom around the ground and set up a big score as a result.

Jack Gregory made the most of the delivery up forward with five goals, while Wil Bowering and Hamish Smith kiced three each.

Reece Duncan, Taylor Allen and Nathan Muhovics chipped in with two each.

For the Saints, Craig Lock was the only player to kick multiple goals, with two to his name.
