MOUNT Burr players will have the shortest possible wait to avenge their loss to Robe in the 2018 Mid South East Football League grand final.

The Mozzies have been earmarked to have an opening round clash at the seaside against the Roosters on April 6.

Reappointed coach Tom Renzi will hope his green-and-gold wearing team will be on song as they meet the red-and-whites who will again be coached by Jack Kelly.

A draft of the 2019 program had been circulated to the nine MSEFL clubs in recent weeks and was released to the public on Tuesday.

Despite having its licensed clubrooms destroyed by fire this month, Nangwarry will have its customary eight games at home.

The first will be in round two against Kongorong.

After a break of a few years, Robe has secured a Good Friday game and it will host Tantanoola on April 19.

Each Mid SE club will have five weekends off next season on account of two scheduled byes as well as breaks for Easter on April 20, the zone carnival on June 8 and the South Australian Country Football Championships at Port Pirie on July 13.

The bye for the championships is imposed on all leagues by the SANFL.

Kalangadoo has played in the past five major rounds and it has the bye in the last minor round game on August 24.

The MSEFL grand final is scheduled for “Mick” and Jean Walker Oval at Mount Burr on September 21.

However, the MSEFL rules state the match will have to be shifted if the Mozzies qualify for their fifth consecutive season decider.

The Wattle Range Council area already has two other grand finals in the month of September.

The Western Border grand final will be played at McLaughlin Park in Millicent and the Kowree Naracoorte Tatiara season decider will be at McCorquindale Park at Penola.

No AFL or SANFL are scheduled for the MSEFL in 2019.

There has never been an AFL match in this competition while the last SANFL fixture was played at Robe in 1989 and involved Glenelg and Port Adelaide.
