THE Mid South East SAPSASA Tennis team competed at Seaside Tennis Club in Adelaide recently for a week-long state tennis carnival.

With three wins from the six matches played, the Mid South East scored 15 points on the premiership table despite the wet weather.

Rain hampered two days of the carnival and hence two matches were abandoned.

The first match for the week saw a disappointing 16-2 set loss to Southern Fleurieu.

Abbey Hood and Cade Kelly were the best players for MSE in this clash.

Next up was a close two-set victory over Southern Yorke Peninsula, 10-8, with Patrick Langsmith and Alice Tentye the best players.

Another big defeat to Salisbury East, 17-1, dampened the mood, before the following two matches were cancelled due to rain.

MSE came back strong against Southern Valley for a 15-3 set win, which saw Natalia Vanderhorst and Kaleb Price the best players.

The third win for the MSE side saw a 12-6 result over Murraylands, with Max Robertson and Montana Biggins named as best.

The last game was an unfortunate result for MSE, as it went down to Tea Tree Gully 18 sets to nil.

Anders McShane and Shae Delaney were the best players in the defeat.
