Men’s 100 up final showcases tight contest at Port MacDonnell

100 UP WINNER: Peter Bruhn claimed the Port MacDonnell Bowling Club’s men’s 100 Up victory on Sunday with a win over kelvin Butler.

EIGHT players nominated for a 100 up men’s event on Sunday at the Port MacDonnell Bowling Club and despite early showers, the cleared up for a good competition.

Peter Bruhn claimed the honours at the end of the day, defeating Kelvin Butler in the final.

In the early games Butler defeated Ron Cox, Adam Wilson defeated Kevin Henderson, Bruhn defeated Danny Gaut and John Rappard won on a forfeit.

Butler went on to win over Wilson in a close game and with both reaching 100, the spectators were treated to great bowling.

Bruhn had a win over Rappard.

Butler and Bruhn played the final in front of the small crowd of spectators, with Bruhn emerging the Men’s 100 Up winner for 2018.
