WARRIORS earned a position in the Mount Gambier Softball Association major game today with a big preliminary final victory over Concordes United.

After a disappointing loss to Demons in the semi-final, Warriors were hungry to earn a position in the grand final to seek redemption.

Concordes Untied were on the back foot early as Warriors jumped out of the gate to score an impressive four runs in the opening innings.

However, refusing to give up, Concordes United’s Codie Jackway led from the front.

She was able to score a triple in the second innings, despite her side only managing four safe hits in the windy conditions.

The weather did not seem to bother the determined Warriors outfit.

Nicole Vause and Leyna Bruggermann led from the front with three safe hits, while Warriors welcomed the return of Kate Telford who contributed with two.

Clare Chaplin, Emerson Hann and Imogen Walker all chipped in to the eventual deficit with a hit each.

The solo efforts continued with Maddy Hann also unleashing a triple, which scored two runs for Warriors.

Concordes United attempted to bounce back through Dani Wighton.

However, Warriors impressive score of 13 was too much to claw back.

Warriors will now face off with Demons in the Mount Gambier softball grand final today against Demons.

The game will kick off at Blue Lake Sports Park at 2pm.
