THE 2018 Western Border Football League will kick off on April 7 with a grand final rematch between East Gambier and North Gambier.
The Bulldogs snatched premiership glory from the otherwise dominant Tigers in 2017 and will be out to start their season with yet another solid performance.
In other games West Gambier will host a tough Casterton Sandford outfit, while South Gambier will travel to Millicent.
The WBFL will have a split round due to the Generations in Jazz and as a result just Casterton Sandford and South Gambier will play on May 5.
The following weekend East Gambier will host Millicent, while West Gambier tackles North Gambier.
Another bye will take place for the South East Zone Championships on June 9, with the next on July 7 for the South Australian State Country Championships.
The season will be all wrapped up by September 8, with the grand final to be held at East Gambier.
Different to the years past, the WBFL will finish a week before the Mid South East and Kowree Naracoorte Tatiara football leagues.
