INTERNATIONAL Soccer Club has announced its 2018 coaches from the Mini-Roos to the Senior teams.

With the biggest change to see Gareth Vonduve take over from Tony D’Agostino as the senior coach, some new faces will also join the Inter coaching staff.

“We want to publicly thank Tony D’Agostino for all he has contributed to the Inter Soccer Club over the past 12 seasons,” club sports director Linda McRobert said.

“During his period as senior coach we achieved unbelievable success and records that will stand for a very long time.

“Gareth will instil his own style of play, he has a vision that he wants to lead his team towards and as a club we believe he will take our players to even higher horizons.”

McRobert said Vonduve was a clear choice to take over the reins and hopes to see him carry on the success of the black and blue in 2018.

“Gareth has been an integral part in our success with our Under 17’s and Seniors over the last six seasons,” she said.

“With his return from Adelaide last season he was an obvious choice to take over the reins from D’Agostino.”

McRobert also believes 2018 will see the whole competition step up a notch, which will provide new challenges across all grades.

“We expect the opposition clubs will be stronger in 2018, but our aim is, if possible, to improve on what was an amazing year for us in all grades in 2017,” she said.
