A FIELD of 55 bowlers contested the open fours event last week at the Millicent Bowling Club.
Local players were joined by teams from Port MacDonnell, Mount Gambier and Mount Gambier RSL for four games.
The format saw one 12-end game of fours, two games of three bowl triples and another 12-end game of fours.
The overall prize went to Frank Lindner and his team of Steve Farrell, Bart Leithlean and Jeff England.
They were followed by Derk Pietersma’s rink in second, while third place was secured by Bryan Roper and Paul Weir’s side came in fourth.
Prizes were also awarded to the individual game winners, with Neil Whelan’s four taking out the first game, Bob Baxter and Rob Chambers claiming the second, Peter and Ros Varcoe winning the third and the team of Iain and Mary Campbell and Rod and Carol Gibbs took the honours in the fourth game.
