CONCORDES United took on Wanderers in Round 3 Mount Gambier softball on the weekend in warm conditions, fresh off a good win against Warriors last week.

Concordes came out firing, scoring four runs in the first innings off safe hits from Hannah Taylor, Sam Brown and Billie Jones, to set up a big win.

But it was not all one-way traffic early in a game full of hitting, as Wanderers replied with six runs of their own, with Concordes struggling in the hot conditions.

However Concordes took the upper hand after the second innings, with big hitting into the gaps and tight pitching from Billie Jones when she came on to pitch in the third.

In the end the 13-6 scoreline showed the strength of the Concordes line up.

Stand outs for Concordes were Billie Jones and a fantastic catch from Codie Jones, while Em Hart fielded well in a losing side.
