MOUNT Gambier’s Pioneers basketball club enjoyed major success in the 2017 South East Australian Basketball League season, but success off the court was just as important.

As part of Castec Rural Supply’s partnership with the Pioneers, an inaugural Lifeline game was conducted in 2016 to raise awareness and funds for Lifeline South East.

That game saw Castec raise $3700 for Lifeline through an auction of Pioneers Lifeline singlets and further funds put forward from CRT/Ruralco.

This year Castec supplied the uniforms to be used in the 2017 Lifeline game, which were then auctioned after the game and purchased by Pioneer’s supporters.

Once all figures were added, Castec and the Pioneers handed over a $2670 donation to the worthy cause.
