GIVE IT ALL: Port MacDonnell’s Jess Trench will be at her defensive best when heading into the Mid South East netball preliminary A Grade final against Hatherleigh this weekend.

HATHERLEIGH will enter into the Mid South East Netball Association A Grade preliminary final as favourite when battling against Port MacDonnell.

The Eagles are coming off a tough encounter with Kalangadoo, with both Abby Wight and Annabel Brooks going down with injuries.

This could see the inclusion of Emma Laucirica who proved herself at both ends of the court last week and Pippin Ellis.

The Demons will be at full strength and Hatherleigh goal keeper Maddie Redman will be focused on shutting out the high delivery into Kahli Rolton.

Helen Hamilton will be at her defensive best on the wing, in hope to limit Toni-Lee Gilmore’s drive onto the circle.

However, Port MacDonnell’s Jess Trench will be doing the same to Kelsey Wight.

There will be an intriguing battle in centre as both Sarah Faulkner and Alyssa Boylan work hard in both defence and offence.

The Demons’ defenders Megan Hein and Brooke Hawkins will need to be at their best to stop the impact of Keston Green in the goal circle.

However, it is likely the Eagles will lead her side to another grand final berth.
