THE Mount Gambier Gun Club held its monthly competition on Saturday in fine and favourable conditions, with some slight winds thrown in.

The dedicated shooters were able to obtain some high scores and shoot off’s were needed to decide the winners.

The opening event was the Keith and Shirley Mules Memorial 50-target Double Barrel Championship.

Competitors showed their skills, as Jamie Dunn returned with a perfect 52/52 to win AA Grade from Don Pratt 51/52 and Gavin Height 51/52.

Sam Rundell 49/50 won A Grade from Greg Kessegian 53/55, followed by Nicola Dunn 52/55.

Scott Fleming (49/50) was in fine form and won B Grade from Robert Atkinson 48/50 and by Brian Spring 47/50.

Reece Fleming (49/50) just edged out John McIntyre 48/50 and Robert Marcato 47/50 to win C Grade.

The Keith and Shirley Mules Memorial 50-target Single Barrel Championship was up next and was exceptionally shot.

Warren Lindner 49/50 won AA Grade from Max Medhurst 50/53 and Andrew Hoare 49/53.

Greg Kessegian 47/50 took A Grade from Kim Block 46/50 and Kevin Mules 46/50.

Denis Blok 43/51 just edged out Brian Spring 42/51 and Peter Winser 41/50 to win B Grade, while Mick Little 44/50 won C from Robert Marcato 40/54 and Shannon Megaw 39/54.

The overall Highgun was won by Warren Lindner 97/100.

The highgun AA Grade Andrew Hoare 96/100, A Grade to Greg Kessegian 95/100, B Grade to Scott Fleming 90/100 and C Grade to Mick Little 87/100.

The Black Crow Club gained new memebers Brian Spring, Scott Fleming and Peter Winser.

The club conducts practice every Friday afternoon and the next competition will be held on Saturday, May 11.
