CASTERTON’S main street came alive over the weekend for the 28th Australian Kelpie Muster.

Run by the Casterton Kelpie Association, the weekend saw thousands of visitors to the small country town.

The Kelpie Festival took place on the Saturday, complete with the parade, market stalls, activities and events and the Australian Premier Working Dog Auction on Sunday.

Casterton Kelpie Association president Karen Stephens was impressed with the huge crowds of people and their best mates.

“It was an incredible weekend! 10,000 people in the street on the Saturday, it was just huge,” she said.
