THE Limestone Coast is set to see the return of professional wrestlers brawling for glory as Riot City Wrestling makes its way to town for the first time in nearly two decades.

Adelaide-based Riot City Wrestling, which last performed in Mount Gambier/Berrin back in 2007, will step into the ring at the Wulanda Recreation and Convention Centre for a night filled with exciting family friendly entertainment.

Former Limestone Coast locals Nick and Travis Cleves, known by their stage names Nick and Jett Armstrong, are among the line-up of athletes eager to return to the Blue Lake City.

New talent added to the roster includes Rocco Reid, who recently joined the wrestling industry and remains excited to make his debut back in his home region.

Travis said wrestlers of Riot City Wrestling were “absolutely thrilled” to be able to give Mount Gambier/Berrin the wrestling entertainment which had not been seen in the region for almost 20 years.

“The whole RCW roster is extremely excited, but it’ll be extra special for me and Nick to be able to show the town the kind of talent Mount Gambier can produce,” Travis said.

“We’ve loved coming down for the New Year’s Eve festival, but this show at the Wulanda Centre will be another level for us.

“We’re ready to blow the roof off the place and show the town a night that will be talked about for years.”

Riot City Wrestling is also known for kickstarting the career of the current World Wrestling Entertainment (WWE) Women’s World Champion Rhea Ripley, who made her debut in South Australia before moving to the United States to join the WWE.

Wrestlers will hit the ring on December 30 at the Wulanda Recreation and Convention Centre.

Tickets for the event can be found on Riot City Wrestling’s website and is an event suited for all ages.
