Road rage assault near Millicent

POLICE are investigating a road rage incident and assault near Millicent last Friday night.

Between 7.45pm and 8.15pm on Friday September 23, the victim was driving a white Toyota Hilux along the Princes Highway, between Mount Gambier and Millicent, when the driver of a small dark car attempted to force his vehicle off the road.

The victim took evasive action and drove through the pine trees near the southern Tantanoola intersection.

On Agricultural Bureau Drive, near Millicent, the Hilux was rammed by another vehicle, a grey utility, possibly a newer model Holden Colorado.

The victim was then assaulted by a number of unknown males and had his phone, wallet and car keys stolen.

He received hospital treatment for facial injuries.

Investigations are continuing to identify and locate the assailants.

Missing person

Police are seeking the assistance of the public to help locate missing Donovans man, Heikki Viitanen.

Heikki Viitanen, 74, was last seen at the Mount Gambier Hospital about midday on Sunday September 25.

Police and his family are concerned for his welfare.

Heikki Viitanen is described as Caucasian, 170cm tall, medium build, with a ruddy complexion, brown/grey short straight hair and untidy appearance.

He is wearing a red checked shirt, brown pants and RM Williams boots.

Anyone who spots Heikki Viitanen or has information on his whereabouts is asked to contact the police assistance line immediately on 131 444.

Missing teenager

Police are seeking the assistance of the public to help locate missing teenager, Mete Olle.

Mete Olle, 16, was last seen at the Cave Gardens, Bay Road, Mount Gambier, about 1.30pm on Sunday September 25.

Police and her family are concerned for her welfare.

Mete Olle is Caucasian, medium build, with brown/pink/purple hair.
