THE Border Watch team is pleased to announce the relaunch of a Tuesday edition of Mount Gambier’s oldest newspaper.

With a proud history of producing not just great local newspapers, but also special publications such Lamb Focus, Beef Focus, Stay Another Day and the Millicent Maps, the team is delighted to be able to bring more news, regular columns, history pieces and sport to our readers.

Sales Manager Melanie Smith said she was pleased to be able to bring more news to the community.

“The Border Watch has been bringing local news to this community for more than 160 years, and we are thrilled to be giving readers what they have asked for,“ she said.

“We are proud to have successfully relaunched the South Eastern Times and The Penola Pennant and are excited to now launch our second edition of The Border Watch.

“We are so grateful to the local community for supporting us, and look forward to bringing more local coverage through the strength of our team here.“

Coming back with the Tuesday edition will be weddings and babies, regular columns, profiles of local leaders and more sports coverage.

Mount Gambier locals will be able to enjoy reading about their friends and neighbours, as the team continues their focus on telling the stories of Mount Gambier community members.

Under new ownership since 2020, and with a great team of local journalists, The Border Watch team remains committed to keeping you informed.

Readers will be able to pick up a copy of the Tuesday edition on September 13 from your local stockists.
