EARLY voting for the Federal Election is now underway, and so are the bookmakers and their election odds.

For the seat of Barker, at the time of print on Sportsbet, incumbent Tony Pasin is currently the clear favourite returning $1.01 per dollar bet.

The second-best odds are tied between the Nationals Jonathan Pietzsch and Labor’s Mark Braes both returning $14.00 per dollar bet.

The Green’s Rosa Hillam, Independent Maddy Fry and Vince Pannell are all returning $51.00 per dollar bet, One Nation’s Carlos Quaremba at $91.00 per dollar bet, United Australia Party’s David Swiggs at $101.00 per dollar bet, and Kym Hanton from the Australian Federation Party at $151.00 per dollar bet.

As to the overall election winner, Labor is seen as the safer bet returning $1.37 per dollar bet, to the Coalition’s $3.10 per dollar bet.

The type of Government formed is favoured to be a Labor majority returning $1.65 per dollar bet, a Labor minority at $3.90 per dollar bet, a Liberal/National Coalition majority at $5.00 per dollar bet, and a Liberal/National Coalition minority at $6.50 per dollar bet.
