SES, CFS and Ambulance called in

RESCUE: CFS, SES and Ambulance worked together to transfer the individual to safety.

VOLUNTEERS from Beachport SA Ambulance Service, Beachport Country Fire Service (CFS) and Millicent State Emergency Service (SES) were called in this week following an offroad motorbike accident north of Beachport.

Responders attended to an individual who was injured after an incident that involved a fall down a steep dune.

As conditions made it difficult for a conventional ambulance to reach the patient, SES and CFS volunteers used rescue equipment to transfer him safely into a 4WD ambulance.

The rescue took over four hours to complete, with the individual taken to hospital.
