THE Sir Robert Helpmann Theatre has five events planned for January and February.

On January 20, the Reels Film Society will screen the drama ‘The Farewell’.

On January 29, Bob ‘Bongo’ Starkie will be in Mount Gambier to keep the music of much loved Australian band ‘Skyhooks’ alive.

The band is known for its catchy tunes and outrageous costumes with the event beginning at 8pm.

On February 18, following a sold-out world tour in 2019, Australian comedian Isaac Butterfield will be on stage at the theatre with a brand new show.

This event is recommended for years 15 plus with anyone under the age of 18 needing to be accompanied by an adult.

On February 20, dancing will also be a hot topic at the theatre with hip-hop duo Anton and Espoir.

The two young hip hop boys will get together with contemporary dancer and choreographer Anya Mckee to make a new short dance theatre work about men and dance.

It will run alongside Dancing with Dad: Miri and Alan, a dance film which takes a look at a father and daughter relationship.

To wrap up February at the theatre will be King of the High C’s, a production dedicated to popular opera group members Pavarotti, Domingo and Carreras.

The event will be held of February 21 beginning at 11am with bookings for all events available online.
