MOUNT Gambier City Council has approved the construction of two shade shelters at the Cunningham Reserve Dog Park to provide shade for users until surrounding trees grow.
The two shelters will be 3m x 5m waterproof shade sail structures with four treated pine posts and will be constructed mostly from recycled materials.
Waterproof shade sails and concrete will be purchased at an estimated cost of $3700.
The cost of materials will be booked to the council’s parks and gardens reserve account fund.
