City infrastructure projects under way

MOUNT Gambier City Council will continue to progress a number of key engineering projects in the city this month.

Shed construction at the reuse market site at Eucalypt Drive is 10pc completed, with the facility expected to be operational by October.

Road reconstruction on Bailey Street is 30pc completed and reconstruction on Railway Terrace is 50pc completed.

Stage two of the rail trail – extending the shared path beyond White Avenue in the city’s west – is 25pc completed.

Road reseals are 5pc completed and hotmix intersections 60pc completed.

The installation of a disc golf course at the Valley Lakes precinct is 90pc completed.

Council’s car park resurfacing program is 30pc completed and cell capping at Caroline Landfill is 75pc completed.

Paving on Helen Street is 25pc completed and road reconstruction on Commercial Street West is 10pc completed as part of the ongoing central business district redevelopment.

Completed tasks this month include road reconstruction on Sturt Street, Kilsby Place and Crouch Street North, as well as footpath reseals.
