Sensitive Santa sessions

THE Mount Gambier Marketplace is getting ready to roll out the red carpet when Santa Claus comes to town this weekend, but the big man in red and his reindeers will not be the only special guests.

The shopping centre will once again be offering Sensitive Santa visits for families with special needs children during three exclusive sessions in the lead-up to Christmas.

Sensitive Santa sessions give families in the community with special needs children the opportunity to visit Santa in a low stress environment before general trade starts.

There will be no music, spotlights or queues and noise levels will be kept down during these private sessions.

Having a photograph with Santa can be a difficult thing for families of children facing illness or other challenges and this session will offer them their own visit away from peak-hour groups in a wheelchair and pram-friendly environment.

The Sensitive Santa sessions will be held for two hours before trading on December 10, 17 and 24 from 8am to 10am.

Contact centre management during business hours on 8724 8798 to book.
