RESIDENTS of a Millicent aged care facility are not letting age stop them from helping those in need.

Woollen garments knitted at Boneham Aged Care Services have recently been presented by Red Cross to refugee children at Mount Gambier North Primary School.

Red Cross regional manager David Walshaw said the donations showed the power of humanity at work in the community.

“Thanks to our wonderful Red Cross volunteer Helen Medhurst and school staff member Simone Badenoch for making this all happen,” Mr Walshaw said.

“It is one of the many joys we get working for Red Cross on a daily basis.”
