SHARING KNOWLEDGE: Kira from Grant District Council helps Helen Douglass with her computer skills.

PEOPLE in their senior years are urged to become “tech savvy” with a free program being rolled out at the Port MacDonnell Library.

The Tech Savvy Seniors program – which starts Tuesday is a free initiative provided via a partnership between the South Australian Government, Telstra, Libraries SA and Grant District Council.

It offers guidance to seniors to develop or improve their digital literacy skills so they can safely and confidently get connected.

The Port MacDonnell Library staff will offer one-on-one sessions to cater to every technology question, big or small.

The program covers social media, smartphones and tablets, internet banking, email, online shopping as well as the Microsoft Office suite.

Contact 8738 3000 or email pmcc@dcgrant.sa.gov.au for more information or to book a spot.
