FURNER farmer and volunteer health administrator Gwenda Lawlor has recently been appointed to the board of Millicent not-for-profit organisation Boneham Aged Care Services.

It provides 90 aged care beds as well as a number of independent living cottages.

Ms Lawlor is a member of the Mount Gambier Health Advisory Council having previously been a member of the Mount Gambier Hospital Board.

Meanwhile, the new director of care at Boneham Aged Care Services has recently started duty.

The position fell vacant last year following the resignation of Kathy Goldsack.

The vacancy was externally advertised and board chairman Greg Nitschke said the position was awarded to Jo MacGregor.

She has previously worked in the private and public health system in Mount Gambier and with the SA Ambulance Service.
