Fuzz locks down funds

WORTHY CAUSE: Limestone Coast Police Senior Constable Pero Kolundzic is growing his “mo” in support of Movember this month.

ONE Limestone Coast police officer is making a difference for men’s health and supporting prostate cancer, testicular cancer, mental health and suicide prevention research by becoming a “Mo Bro” this month.

Moving to the region earlier this year, Senior Constable Pero Kolundzic is no stranger to growing some facial fuzz, participating in Movember events while stationed in Adelaide.

This year sporting what can only be defined as an “undercover brother” by the Movember style guide, Snr Cnst Kolundzic hopes to engage the community and raise funds for the worthy cause.

“Movember is something I have been involved in for many years now,” he said.

“I think it’s really important to support causes like this when you can and I can grow a pretty great ‘mo’ so why not?

“Being new to town, I think it’s also a great way to get involved in the community.”

In previous years, Snr Cnst Kolundzic has been a little bolder with his “flavour saver” while on leave from the force, with a more Poirot inspired design, but unfortunately his creativity is limited when on duty.

“I have sported some pretty out there styles in the past,” he said.

“This year I’m going with the classic though so I’m hoping it’s still impressive.”

Movember is expected to crack the $1b mark this year since its establishment in 2003.

Starting in Melbourne, the initiative sees “Mo Bros” and “Mo Sistas” from around the globe take part in the challenge with more than 5.2 million people getting involved over the 15 years.

This year there have been more than 290,000 nominations, including 76,657 across the country.

Visit au.movember.com/mospace/12084249 or head into the Penola Police Station to donate to Snr Cnst Kolundzic and keep his mo growing.
