FOOTBALL tipsters will this year have the opportunity to win both major and weekly prizes in The Border Watch’s annual AFL Footy Tipping Competition.

With round one of the AFL 2018 season only four weeks away, registrations for the competition have now closed.

HiTec Leading Appliances – the competition’s major sponsor for five years – is this year giving away a $3000 Kleenmaid voucher to the highest ranked tipster at the end of the season.

Quality prizes will be up for grabs for both the runner up and the tipster who finishes in third place, while weekly prize winners will take home $75, $50 or $25 vouchers from a range of participating businesses.

HiTec Leading Appliances owner Rick Macera said he was proud to partner with The Border Watch and support a local initiative.

“We do love the football and it is great to be the major sponsor and partner with other local businesses,” he said.

“This is a fun local competition and we are excited to offer a fantastic prize to the top tipster, who will be able to select a range of appliances for their home to the value of $3000.”
