A MAN and a woman have escaped injury after being involved in a crash on Airport Road on Tuesday aftenoon, which left one car idle in a paddock.

Country Fire Service, State Emergency Service, police and paramedics were called to the scene at around 4pm after reports of a two-car collision.

A 20-year-old man was travelling north on Wandilo Road in a Mistubish Triton when he slowed to turn right onto Airport Road.

A 29-year-old woman driving a Holden Colorado was also travelling north and went to overtake the turning vehicle and a crash occurred.

The collision forced her vehicle off the road into an adjacent paddock, marginally missing a stobie pole.

No charges have been laid and the investigation is ongoing.
