SALLY Klose has been appointed as chief executive officer of MacKillop Farm Management Group.

Meg Bell currently holds the position, but will be leaving in February to start a family with her husband Owen.

Ms Klose has worked with MFMG for two years in the communications and events officer role, and will commence in her new role from February 5.

She has extensive experience in governance, strategic planning, project management and community and stakeholder engagement.

In addition, Ms Klose and her husband Chris operate a prime lamb and beef business at Lucindale.

She has broad networks throughout the community, and the wide skillset that she brings to the role will be of enormous benefit to MFMG’s members and to the agricultural community in the Limestone Coast.

Ms Klose said she is passionate about and committed to the Limestone Coast and agriculture in the region.

“I’m looking forward to a new challenge and will build on Meg’s efforts ensuring MFMG is recognised as a farming systems group that serves its members and sponsors with a focus on both livestock and cropping in our region,” she said.

Current chief executive officer Ms Bell started with MFMG in 2018, and is leaving the organisation in a good financial position with an extensive range of cropping and livestock projects underway, filling gaps in knowledge and extension.

“I’ve had such enjoyment from my time with MFMG, and working for the best outcomes for our members, sponsors and the agricultural industry in our region,” Ms Bell said.

“I wish Sally all the best with the role – she will do a wonderful job as CEO, and we’re lucky to have someone with her skillset as part of our organisation.”
