THE 153rd annual Penola Show kicks off this Friday with major attractions including the Flying Doctor Simulator, Special TDC Heifer show, Little Athletics, St Mary’s Wines Grand Champion Rose, Epic Darren Motorbike Show, Circus Elements and fireworks.

Fun for all ages is set to continue on Saturday with George the Farmer, Professor Wallace Puppets, bush poetry, animal nursery, sheaf tossing competition and lunch available at the sports club.

The Penola Pastoral Agricultural and Horticultural Society’s annual show is one of the most hotly anticipated events on the city’s social calendar and always a fun family event.

Showgoers can browse entries in a number of categories, including wool, cattle, horses, photography, farm produce, craft, roses, art and cookery.

Children will be entertained for hours on end at sideshow alley, where games, activities, showbags and rides await them.

Penola’s service clubs will be present, fundraising for community projects and upcoming events.

As always, there is something for everyone at this year’s Penola Show.
