CHEESE and wine lovers are snapping up bookings for a tasting event at Jack Estate as part of the month-long Coonawarra Cabernet calendar.

The event which also includes an informal chat will allow patrons to engage with staff regarding how different vintage wines pair with certain cheese.

Jack Estate winemaker Conrad Slabber said the estate’s 2019 releases will be highlighted at the event.

“The hour-long sessions will also include our mythology range which is our premium wines, as well as our estate wines which are our regular wines,” Mr Slabber said.

“It is fantastic to be able to compare the two different types of wines alongside three different cheeses such as cheddar, Dutch gouda and double brie.”

Mr Slabber said he also looked forward to welcoming guests into the cellar door and tasting areas once again following Covid-19 restrictions.

“People want to come into the wineries and communicate with staff and myself in person and I have missed that side of the marketing,” he said.

The hour-long tasting event will be hosted each Saturday and Sunday throughout October between 12pm and 4pm.

Bookings are preferred and available through contacting Jack Estate with a small entry fee of $5 per person.
