Pop idols feature in art display

ARTISTIC SUPPORT: Sue Fitzgerald, Diana Vine and Lisa Caon attend the grand opening of the Naracoorte Art Gallery exhibition.

DESPITE there being no singing or dancing during the grand opening of Naracoorte Art Gallery’s SALA Festival exhibition, celebrity musicians were still the main highlight.

Opening night – held on July 16 – showcased the incredible talent of Naracoorte photographer Deb Kloeden in her exhibition Magic Musical Moments through featuring 30 photos taken at popular music concerts nationally and internationally.

Earning the title of the gallery’s South Australian Living Artist for 2021, Ms Kloeden combines her concert photography skills with unique photoshop blending resulting in images with dynamic energy, greater context and artistic textures.

As a result of little to no live performances in 2020, Ms Kloeden took the time to work on her photographs from previous events utilising digital technology and programs.

Artists featured in the exhibition include Paul Kelly, The Cat Empire, Ella Hooper and Jimmy Barnes.

The exhibition was opened by Naracoorte photographer Tony Lees prior to Ms Kloeden thanking those who attended.

All photographs are for sale and numbered as a limited-edition print run of five with the exhibition on display until August 22.
