THE hits and style of Michael Buble will come alive in Mount Gambier next week as Shades of Buble – A Three-Man Tribute to Michael Buble visits the city.
Australian performer Adam Rennie will join with New York’s Nicholas Ziobro and Ryan Connolly to bring Buble’s best to the theatre on March 11.
The trio have performed in the United States for five years with this tour an Australian first.
A long-time Michael Buble fan, Mr Rennie is one of the nation’s most-esteemed performers, splitting his life between inner-city Sydney and Manhattan’s Broadway glitz.
Mr Rennie has spent a significant amount of time in America performing in over 40 states across shows such as Dirty Rotten, Scoundrels, Priscilla Queen of the Desert and Once We Lived Here.
Now bringing his performance skills to Mount Gambier, Mr Rennie said it was nice to return to his home country.
“I grew up listening to jazz music and have always had a deep respect and love for Michael Buble,” Mr Rennie said.
“Something special about him is that he performs classic songs but he is also able to perform pop songs and everything in between.
“For us this ends up being an excuse to sing some songs that are timeless and ends up being a large variety night.”
Looking forward to visiting the Blue Lake city for the first time, Mr Rennie said the trio hoped to squeeze in some sightseeing.
“We move so quickly and generally we get to the hotel and have a few hours beforehand so we go and find a little cafe and enjoy the sights around the town,” he said.
“But the best thing about this performance is that it will have a bit of everything so we are expecting people to sing and dance along if they want to.”
Shades of Buble – A Three-Man Tribute to Michael Buble will be held at Sir Robert Helpmann Theatre on March 11 with tickets available from the box office.
