Students unite for charity

HELPING HAND: Academy of Hospitality students Dafydd Ryan, Riley Stevens and Connor Hall served up food and drinks to Charity Ball attendees.

INTERNATIONAL travel restrictions may impact Tenison Woods College’s 2021 Timor-Leste immersion trip but it has not stopped students from being active global citizens.

The college held its annual Charity Ball at Mount Gambier City Hall last week, marking 10 years since the college’s first Timor-Leste immersion.

While students will not be able to visit communities in Timor-Leste this year, the social calendar highlight went ahead to raise funds for immersion program.

Year 11 and 12 students enjoyed a great night of music as Academy of Hospitality staff and students provided food and drinks, while an auction of money-can’t-buy experiences was held to generate donations.
