PENOLA Coonawarra residents will have the opportunity to clean out their wardrobe whilst raising funds with the Recycled Clothing Sale going ahead once again next weekend.
The event will raise funds for the Penola Coonawarra Sub Fund of the Stand Like Stone Foundation which continues to provide grants specifically for projects within the region.
Organised by Amanda Flint and supported by Janet Brodie, the event will allow sellers to clean out their wardrobe with shoppers able to find new items of clothing at bargain prices.
“The event is a great platform of sustainability and recycling, as well a gathering fostering community,
friendships and fun,” Mr Flint said.
“There will be fantastic quality used clothing at amazing prices including formal, casual, winter coats and more.
“There will also be shoes, bags and accessories and some men’s and children’s clothing as well as the vast array of women’s apparel.”
The event is being held again, following the success of the April pop-up session which raised funds specifically for Penola’s Swinging with the Stars dancer Kate Palm.
“The clothing will be organised on individual seller’s racks, with the sizes for that rack on display,” Ms Flint said.
“Shoppers can be more targeted in their search for the perfect items, without having to look through all the clothing on offer.”
Friday night will also host a ‘Girls Night Out’ with music, wine and raffles on the cards with the event beginning at 4pm.
The Recycled Clothing Sale will be held at Rymill Hall on October 30, beginning at 10am.
