HOME-BAKED biscuits with “smiley faces” have recently been served to Millicent High School Flexible Learning Option students as a thank you gesture by the youngsters at McArthur Park Kindergarten.
For much of 2019, the older group of students made regular visits and put their building skills to good effect in the yard of the kindergarten.
They built a set of swings, converted a shed to a chicken coop and erected a stick fence.
Kindergarten director Sally Gower praised the support of supervisors Neil Reilly and Brett Loader.
Participant Rhys Gamble said it was time well spent.”
“It is good to help out the community,” he said.
“The kindy kids would always come and watch us.”
