SCOTT Motorsport has announced its 2019-20 sprintcar schedule for the returning driver Brooke Tatnell, with a big workload over a short period of time.
Tantell will again compete in the V55 sprintcar, with new livery for the season.
The usual blue of the Scott racecars remains, with more white, which looks striking off the track.
It is third straight season Tatnell will race for the team, with a full World Series Sprintcars program the main focus.
Clearly the WSS title is on the radar, with team owner Ash Scott suggesting it was one of the main aims of the season with Tatnell again behind the wheel.
“We are pretty happy to be going again with Brooke,” he said.
“We are doing the whole World Series, which we have not done the last couple of years, so hopefully that goes well.
“We would not be in it if we did not think we could do something with it, but we are realistic about it.
“We are definitely going to do all we can to either win it or be top three at the end of the season.”
The schedule also includes the Ultimate Nationals at Sydney, the Australian Titles in Tasmania, the Classic in Warrnambool, the President’s Cup in Geelong and finishes with the Krikke Boys Challenge in Perth.
Mount Gambier fans will see Tatnell race at the Borderline Speedway for the December 28 WSS round, along with the time-honoured Kings Challenge.
As for the Australian Titles, Scott said it is another event he hopes will go well for the team.
There is certainly a lot of racing jammed into a short period of time, but Scott said that was simply the way sprintcar game is.
“Whether it is in Australia or America, you do all these races all at once and get it done and dusted,” he said.
“Unlike other forms of motorsport where you are in a place for a week, we are there for just a few hours.”
It is clearly a big commitment for the team, but after two previous seasons together and many changes made to suit Tatnell, Scott said they were confident of some good performances this season.
“I think we have a pretty good package together now,” he said.
“Last year we messed around a lot with shock absorbers and towards the end we worked out where we had to be.
“That is what we are starting from this year.
“We should be pretty competitive right off the bat and I have no doubts we can win.”
