DESPITE only having 24 hours to piece together an outfit, Brianna Scanlon’s race style was still on the money when she graced the green for the Penola Cup.

The 23 year old is no stranger when it comes to Fashions on the Field events having won a number of sashes since she first competed at the Millicent Cup over five years ago.

Brianna added to her collection at the Penola Cup when she was crowned with “best millinery” with a Melissa Gaye Designs piece she purchased in 2016.

Her outfit was also the “most liked” in the The Border Watch Newsgroup’s Facebook Fashions competition and won her a bottle of 2013 Family Selection cabernet sauvignon generously donated by Zema Estate Coonawarra.

Brianna said her mother, Mandy, decided she wanted to go to the races the night before, which gave her little time to organise an outfit.

“Thanks so much to everyone who voted, The Border Watch Newsgroup and Zema Estate Wines, I am really grateful,” Ms Scanlon said.
