PENOLA High School students have improved their road safety thanks to driving lessons offered by Naracoorte driving instructor Robert Black.
Students are required to complete a Learner Driving log book as well as 75 hours of driving time before taking a final drive and test in order to obtain a provisional driver’s license.
Mr Black has attended Penola High School on a weekly basis during term three, working with 30 students.
Each lesson consists of specific driving tasks which form a part of the log book assessment.
These assessments can only be signed off by a qualified driving instructor.
The course would not be possibly without the help of Mr Black in addition to the Stand Like Stone Foundation for a $5000 grant received to subsidise this program.
