Extra egg-citing Easter

RACE FOR EASTER: Lola and Cedar Ferguson were among those who participated in the South East Property Sales and Management’s “amazing Easter race”.

THE Millicent community was buzzing with “egg-citment” last week in the lead-up to the Easter holiday weekend.

In spirit of the festivities, South East Property Sales and Management hatched a plan, which brought together local children and families.

The “Easter amazing race club” took participants on a scavenger hunt across the town’s business district.

Children, with the help of their parents, put their thinking caps on and answered clues left at local businesses.
Each clue brought them closer to the final location where they received am “egg-citing” prize.

Madi Turner from South East Properties said the business organised the race because they wanted “to do something different and have a bit of fun”.

“We wanted to do something different and involve the community and other local businesses,” she said.

“All the kids involved seemed pretty excited.”

In addition to a prize for finishing the scavenger hunt, competitors were also selected for a draw to win an Easter hamper.

Around 30 children joined the hunt, which was held over three days.
