MILLICENT businesses and homes will pause briefly on Sunday morning to honour wartime service and sacrifice.

It will be 100 years since the guns ceased firing in 1918 to mark the end of World War I.

Most of the usual Remembrance Day commemorative arrangements staged by the Millicent sub-branch of the RSL will apply in Millicent just before 11am.

The time marks the eleventh hour of the eleventh day of the eleventh month.
