Students helped into agribusiness careers

MORE than 60 scholarships, including 10 targeting a new food and agribusiness major, will support people wanting to study at Deakin University’s Warrnambool campus this year.

The record number of scholarships, worth up to $7000 each, has been hailed as a tremendous show of support from the region for the Deakin campus.

The scholarships are expected to be a major attraction for students as they consider change of preferences between January 17 and 29.

Scholarships are being offered in commerce, agribusiness, education, marine, psychology and health science.

Campus director Alistair McCosh said regional industry support showed there was strong demand for Deakin Warrnambool graduates.
