A SLOW start in the first round of Kowree Naracoorte Tatiara football finals sees Penola bow out of the premiership race after a five-point loss to Mundulla.

Penola’s goals came from Adam Merrett (2) and tom Clayfield (1).

Best players for the Eagles were Luke Walker, Sam Klemm, Thomas Currie, Charlie Bennett, Caleb Lythgo and Philip Lambert.
