Redlegs drew Kingston/Lucindale

The weather was wet and the turf was soggy but the under 9s were eager to get moving.

Some talented stick manoeuvres and ball work by Redlegs resulted in the first goal.

The ball quickly moved back down the other end of the field and after some to-and-fro, KL scored too.

Although individual skill levels varied greatly, the overall skill of both teams was evenly matched, and it was a proud moment when the older more experienced kids purposefully included the younger ones. The kids should be proud of how much they have learned this season, which is evident in the flow of the game.

It was an impressive game to watch. Well done to all the under nine players.

Darts started the second quarter with an early goal by Eddie but the game steadied again with both teams getting plenty of time with the ball.

A late goal by Cooper put Darts on the scoreboard for a second time.

The half time reset saw both teams come out and play another even quarter similar to the first but another late goal by Eddie was to end the quarter with Darts up by three.

Yet another quarter of back and forth meant everyone was a part of the constant busy play. Reds worked well as a team and kept Darts from scoring.
