PORT MacDonnell’s Michelle Moore finally reached her 300th game Milestone on the weekend and after reaching 200 games in 2010, it has taken another 14 years to reach 300.

Marriage, children, overseas living, Covid, holidays and playing for Penola all halted her progress, but that all changed on Saturday.

Moore started with the Demons in 1997, playing in the learning junior grades, before progressing to the competitive junior grades.

There she found her love for the sport and her ability and unbeatable determination to play quality netball.

Throughout her six years in the junior grades she won best and fairest in every season.

She has represented Mid South East at both junior and senior level.

Playing her first senior game as a junior in 2003, Moore played most of her senior games in the A Grade.

Although mostly at goal attack in juniors, she made wing defence her position on seniors and more recently is enjoying the centre position.

Moore has played in many finals, losing most of them, with the exception of her one and only premiership, being part of the first A Grade flag for Port MacDonnell in 2009.

In 2016 she won A Reserve best and fairest.

Coming back from Penola and Covid she won the A Grade runner-up best and fairest in 2021 and was again part of the A Grade team in 2023.

This season sees Moore in the A Reserve where she hopes another premiership is just around the corner.

Moore is an asset to any team she plays in, umpires and helps around the club, also coming on board as secretary this season.

She is supported by husband Alex and children Maya and Henri.
