THOSE people seeking an action-packed Easter weekend could do worse than head out to McNamara Park for the annual Easter race meeting.

The regular Easter Cup feature races return to McNamara Park Raceway, incorporating the national BEARS (British, European and American racing series) challenge and Round 2 of the SA State Road Racing Championships.

Over 100 riders are entered, promising large grids and fierce action in all classes.

Given the larger-than-normal number of different classes, a huge variety of machinery will make for spectacular viewing from the many spots around the track.

In addition, spectators will be able to wander the pits and see those bikes up close and personal.

This event also celebrates the 62nd anniversary of motorcycle racing at McNamara Park, a remarkable achievement for a national standard racetrack run by volunteers.

Without last year’s Easter Cup victor Dallas Skeer, competition should be tight to see who will win the main feature race.

Qualifying takes place Saturday morning, with racing Saturday afternoon and all day Sunday.

Full canteen and bar facilities will be available and entry is only $10 per day or $15 for the weekend, with under 16’s free.
