IT was a big night at the Borderline Speedway on Saturday, as a full program was expanded to included Formula 500s.

That came about after issues with heat and fire danger in Victoria, which then saw nine cars head across the border to compete.

They joined the SA Pro Sprints state title, Modified Sedans title and Juniors for a big night of racing.

Daniel Pestka claimed the sprintcar title for the Port MacDonnell Stark’s team, with a well crafted victory after an entertaining A Main victory.

Queensland’s Aidan Raymont took home the SA title for the Modified Sedans, again in an entertaining contest.

He held off fellow Queenslander with the WA1 plate Joel Berkley and Bendigo’s Dylan Barrow.

The racing was eager, with three restarts required to get the feature race up and running.

The first South Australian home was Heath Thorne in fifth place.

The Formula 500s, as always, provided plenty of action, with Dylan Willsher claiming the honours, while Limestone Coast driver Jordan Mansell was fourth home.

The Juniors are split into two categories, with the Top Stars the more experienced of the group.

Flynn Annett claimed the honours from Jayden Garner and Ryan Burns.

The New Stars is generally those who have just begun racing or with little experience.

Tyler Wilson claimed the win, from Mount Gambier pair Violet Thorne and, in her first race, Demi Jennings.
