NARACOORTE WHITE 49 D NARACOORTE RED 33

SOUTHERN Ports junior tennis produced some quality play from Naracoorte White and Naracoorte Red, with two of the doubles going to tie breakers and each team winning one.

There were some entertaining rallies in the singles and the scores did not reflect how well everyone was hitting the ball.

Naracoorte White won five of the six singles matches and won the day 49-33.

Some changes were made to the two Lucindale teams due to some fill-ins and wanting to ensure the last round was the best it could be.

The day was exactly that, with lots of chatter and excitement along with some fantastic skills demonstrated.

The top doubles was of the highest standard seen all year.

Bridie had her fist win for the season and was smiling ear to ear, along with Darcy.

George played some great tennis in a close match against Ernie and it was awesome to have Darcy Clarke back on the court.

With the result coming down to just two games, both teams played some great tennis.

KINGSTON 53 D NARACOORTE YELLOW 28

Unfortunately, due to illness, Naracoorte Yellow had to forfeit its 1 and 2 player’s games’.

However, some close games played out in the doubles, with Jack and Jess getting the 7-5 win against Beau and Fliss.

Naracoorte got the win in the tiebreak for the other double.

There was some good hitting by Beau and Jack, with lots of long rallies.

Well done to Beau for winning the tiebreak.

Jess and Fliss also had a great match, while Sam was consistent against Louis and kept getting the ball back in play, which gave him the 6-1 win.

Jimmy Orton got up with a 6-4 win over Chloe.
